Spotlight on the Automotive Industry

114288673When people think of the automotive industry, they generally think of the cars they drive. While this will suffice, there is a much deeper explanation of everything the automotive industry entails. At Standby Screw, we are proud to serve such an important, worldwide industry.

Did you know? The auto industry is highly concentrated. The top 10 global automakers account for roughly 80% of the worldwide production and nearly 90% of total vehicles sold in the U.S. (Zacks)

As time goes on, drivers are looking for more improvements on their choice of vehicle and automotive manufacturers must be able to adapt to changes for mature driver markets and emerging markets, while keeping as low costs as they possibly can with the most advanced technology.

Automakers are also concentrating on offering more optional features (which will save money on gas) even on the small and fuel-efficient vehicles in order to attract new buyers. The sale of optional features is helping them
offset lower profit margins for small cars relative to large trucks.
