The ‘Tis The Season Food Drive That Was Almost Too Close to Call

The team members here at Standby Screw recognize how fortunate we are to have not only things we need, but a lot of what we want as well. And in knowing this, we find ourselves wanting to share with those in our community that may have fallen on harder times. It’s this spirit of giving that inspired Standby Screw’s annual ‘Tis the Season food drive; we work to collect food items that can be donated to our local food bank, that are then distributed over the holiday season.

And as per usual, the Standby Screw family’s generosity not only met but exceeded the goals and expectations we set for our company this year.

Neck and Neck for a Good Cause

There’s nothing like a bit of friendly competition, especially if it’s for such a good cause. This year, our Quality-Toolcrib and Acme departments found themselves in a bit of a photo-finish that was almost too close to call. Just when it looked as though Acme was going to take it all, Quality-Toolcrib came back in the last day and snuck past Acme by a nose. While there was only one true winner, because each team worked so hard, both will soon be enjoying a pizza lunch and a Giant Eagle gift card to commend their dedication.

By the Numbers
