img2-facilites1.      How long have you been at Standby Screw? I have been with Standby for 30 years.

2.      What is your favorite thing about working here? Every day is a challenge; it can sometimes be frustrating, but always rewarding.

3.      If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Australia; I’ve always wanted to visit “The Outback.”

4.      What do you like to do for fun? Sports, biking, working on vintage cars, traveling, and gardening

5.      If you had one important piece of  “life” advice to give someone, what would it be? Try to stay on an even keel; don’t get too high or too low, and take things in stride.

unnamed1.      How long have you been at Standby Screw? I have been with Standby for over 24 years.

2.      What is your favorite thing about working here? The challenge to improve jobs to run the best they can (believe it or not).

3.      If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would like to take an Alaskan cruise. It looks like it would be scenic and relaxing.

4.      What do you like to do for fun? I enjoy watching or attending baseball, football, and racing events. I also like gambling at casinos.

5.      If you had one important piece of  “life” advice to give someone, what would it be? Set your goals and keep them, or improve on them.

Employee Spotlight: Cory Bert, Packing Lead

unnamed1.      How long have you been at Standby Screw? I have been with Standby for a year and a half.

2.      What is your favorite thing about working here? There’s something new going on every day, which keeps me on my toes and makes for an exciting work day.

3.      If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Since everyone else likes Australia, I would have to say Sicily. That’s my roots and I love the food.

4.      What do you like to do for fun? I enjoy golf, softball, and hanging out on the lake.

5.      If you had one important piece of  “life” advice to give someone, what would it be? Try your hardest at everything and anything you do in life because you never know when an opportunity might present itself. It’s good to be prepared when that day comes!

Employee Spotlight: Matt Frindt, Manufacturing Engineer

img2-facilites1.      How long have you been at Standby Screw? I have been with Standby for a little over 2 years.

2.      What is your favorite thing about working here? Watching Drew run around trying to gather information for our blog and using new technology like Baxter and Partmaker.

3.      If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Europe–especially Paris, France, to visit the Louvre and La Chaise Cemetery.

4.      What do you like to do for fun? Travel to see live music and festivals, camping, and spending time outdoors (especially when and where it is warm).

5.      If you had one important piece of  “life” advice to give someone, what would it be? There is always more to learn. Never grow up, keep an open mind, and be teachable. Our purpose in this life is more than the societal norm of “grow up, get a job, etc.” Get out of your comfort zone and go after that purpose!
