 Standby Screw Machine Products Co. offers high to low volume turning. We offer multiple spindle turning, CNC turning, transfer machines, and Swiss type turning. Secondaries include, broaching milling, spline rolling, thread rolling, hobbing, center and centerless grinding, cold drawing and shearing.
Standby offers a diverse array of machinery to provide multiple solutions to your manufacturing challenges. We have solutions for prototypes and low volume demands all the way to offering global competitiveness for high volume production. Standby offers the competitive advantage of overseas sourcing without the risk of unknown quality. We handle sourcing, logistics, and warehousing of our products made overseas. This frees the customers time to work on other issues.
Standby is a privately held with very active ownership. We own two 90,000 square foot facilities, one in Berea Ohio and a second in Guangzhou, China, with over 300 employees worldwide. We have off site heat treat and plating in Berea and on site induction and carburizing in China. Both of our facilities are ISO 9001-2000.
Standby offers the total global solution to our customers. Standby Pacific was started in January 2004 at the request of our customers to provide cost reductions and to be competitive in the global marketplace. Standby Pacific is wholly owned by Standby Screw in Ohio, it is not a joint venture or partnership, like most other screw machine shops offer. Manufacturing expertise is provided and Standby Screw employees on the ground in China living and working in Guangzhou. Parts from Standby Pacific are shipped to and warehoused in Berea, Ohio for all US customers. The parts are released according to our customers schedules. Our customers do not have to take full containers of parts from China.
Standby Screw Machine Products in Berea, Ohio guarantees the quality of all products produced in Berea and Guangzhou. Our facility in Berea is also tooled up to provide backup to our facility in Guangzhou. If there ever is a quality issue, replacement parts can be made quickly in Ohio. Our facility can also run production in the event that a customer has an unforeseen spike in orders.
Standby Screw's quality system is registered to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. With us, quality control is constant and uncompromising. All manufacturing operations are approved prior to production runs. Every part is tested at each stage of manufacturing, and our customers' critical characteristics are monitored using SPC. Finally, all parts are carefully inspected prior to release, using the latest metrology equipment to ensure accuracy.
